Beginning September 13th, Ken Pollack will be teaching young children the Ten Commandments with short stories, crafts, games from 9:40-10:15AM. This is a 10-week class. On January 10th the Education Team will roll out a Sunday School program for kids 3yrs. - 4th grade. Stay tuned! |

The first Sunday of every month the Middle School parents meet in the parent lounge to discuss activity plans, fund raising and how to support one another. Backpack Blessing
Students of all ages are encouraged to bring their back packs to church either at 8:15 or 10:30AM, have them blessed for the new school year and receive a gift. |

Mission of the Month - April
Concordia Seminary Food Bank - The Co-op relies solely on the generous donations of individuals, congregations and organizations. Most students live on a very limited income while preparing to serve the Church. These facilities are truly a blessing to the students and their family members. VBS Volunteers

Angels are now available with names of children in the Addison, Columbia, Hanover/Horton, Hudson & Onsted school districts will be hung on the Angel Tree. Over 100 tags are available some with needs and some with wants for each child. Gifts should be wrapped and under the tree by December 15. Men's Leadership Retreat

Every year, hundreds of thousands of students in the U.S. and around the world unite to do the Famine. They learn about hunger, raise funds to help the hungry, and then go hungry themselves. This event is sponsored by the LCOL Middle & High School. Ladies' Spring Tea

Good food, great friends, worthy charities all make the Annual Fish Fry for Charity an outstanding event! Add in the wonderful Silent Auction and five school districts & people in need of rent and utilities in those same five districts are cared for throughout the year. German Dinner & Voters' Assembly
Following the one service on October 25th at 10:00AM, the Fellowship Board invites you to a delicious German Dinner. Brats & Kraut are provided with potluck dishes to accompany. The Annual Voters' Assembly will be held during and following the dinner. Members of LCOL over 18 years of age are voting members. Sweet-Tooth Auction
Christian Care will hold their tasty Sweet-Tooth Auction of baked goods on Sunday, February 7th at 9:45AM. Get your Super Bowl goodies here! Proceeds will help fund Gifts of Love. Beginning February 17, suppers are offered on the Wednesdays of Lent at 6PM. A good-will offering is taken each week.

Prayer Vigil
Come for an hour, come for a few minutes and pray for the concerns of our Addison community, as well as the concerns of our members. Vacation Bible School (VBS)
VBS - the best week ever for kids! Every night from 6:30-8:30 kids learn all about God and His love for them through songs, stories, skits, games & crafts. Friday night is Family Night with a recap of the week, water slide, playground fun and food. Youth Pizza Fundraiser
Little Caesar's Pizza Kits - just in time for Tip Up and Super Bowl! Orders are being taken during January. Orders must be in by January 23. Delivery is scheduled for January 29th. All proceeds go to fund youth projects. Addison Baccalaureate
Baccalaureate is a student participation celebration which honors the graduating senior class of Addison High School. It is non-denominational as all local churches participate. Confirmation Breakfast
The families of students being confirmed are honored with a special breakfast hosted by the Fellowship Board. Everyone is invited to join them in celebrating this special event. Advent Suppers

The Wymans & Eleanor Cochenour are hosting the last derby of the year on August 12th. Come alone or bring the family. Fishing is fun! The host provides boats and food. Bring bait and equipment. Cleaned fish are frozen for the Fish Fry. Pumpkin Fest
Face painting, crafts, a bounce house, hay rides, hot dogs, and Trunk & Treat are all part of a great community Pumpkin Fest. The best part is that it's all FREE! The only entrance fee is a non-perishable food item for St. Mary's Food Bank in Manitou Beach. Angel Tree
Names of children from our 5 school districts will be available on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Take a name, purchase & wrap a gift, and return it by Sunday, December 13. Soups & Bake Sale
The Jr. Youth will be selling soups and desserts for your special sweetheart. Soups will be in quart containers making an easy dinner for a night next week. Proceeds support Jr. Youth programs throughout the year. Inquiry Sundays

Pastor Steve was ordained into the Holy Ministry and installed as pastor of Lutheran Church of the Lakes on June 28, 2009. Pastor, Tessa and their four children live in the Lake Columbia area. |
